Forged from carbon steel instead of the Grade B Alloy specified by AREMA, our Carbon Steel Bell Pattern Spike Maul is otherwise identical to the Grade B version.

10lb Grade B Maul Head

The Grade B alloy version of our traditional Bell Pattern Spike Maul weighs 10 lbs. Meets the requirements of the current AREMA Plan #3.  ASTM A514 Grade B steel offers exceptional tensile, shear, and fatigue strength for a lifetime of service — and maybe more.
